About the author

The name comes from the author's personal image of a cleanroom: an isolated sanctuary for human judgment. It is a metaphor, not an OS sandbox guarantee. This independently developed, non-commercially motivated project grew from a Japanese X post and the author's own unease about losing the experience of making things with AI.

Cleanroom is a collaborative development workspace where, whatever AI becomes able to do, you choose what you want, where you want to be involved and what you want to understand, and keep that experience as your own. Hand implementation to AI; stay involved where you want to be; carry what you chose to learn into the next piece of work; and stay free to choose differently from your earlier self.

This began as a personal response to building with AI and worrying about the future. It is not a commercial sales pitch. I want to keep the attachment to what I make, and the understanding that lets me continue shaping it.
